Liud de Jesus graduated from a professional Art Institute in Cuba. She worked as an independent artist for many years, and participated in different competitions where her sculptures, designs and paintings won significant awards.
In 2003, she moved to Miami and started making cakes. During that time, her cake designs gained great popularity. She participated in the "Let Them Eat Cake" event presented by Martha Stewart and Emeril Lagasse at the 10th Anniversary of the Food Network celebrated in Miami Beach.
Thousands of customers have enjoyed her delicious and spectacular cakes including celebrities like Dwyane Wade, Julio Iglesias, Gloria Estefan, and many more. She has created cakes for special events such as opening night for Cirque du Soleil.
The love for the sweets, passion and hard work showed her a new and beautiful way to express her art. That's how Custom Cakes was born.
